Are you tired of cooking at home? Sick of fast food? Good news – plenty of local restaurants are still open for curbside pickup and/or delivery in the East Sacramento and Midtown areas. The restaurant business is notoriously tough to begin with, and the quarantine situation has made it infinitely tougher. By simply enjoying delicious food and drinks, we can help support Sacramento businesses as they work to stay afloat.
The list of local eateries that continue to offer pick-up and delivery options changes almost daily, but for now, below are 14 restaurants that are still working hard to feed Sacramento residents during our COVID-19 quarantines.
- Allora – 5215 Folsom Boulevard. Curbside pick-up offered Tuesday through Saturday, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The menu features a family-style dinner as well as a la carte options and wine to go.
- Burger Patch – 2301 K street. No-fee pick-up. Also available for delivery through Doordash, GrubHub, Upserve, and Seamless. Hours: 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Closed daily from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
- Burgers & Brew – 1409 R Street. This is the only Burgers & Brew location remaining open. Curbside pick-up. The restaurant opens at 11:00 a.m. Monday through Friday and noon on the weekends. Beers to go.
- Cantina Alley – 2320 Jazz Alley. Hours: 11:30 a.m. – 8:15 p.m. Offering a variety of tacos, as well as other menu items such as posole verde & elote. Delivery via Postmates.
- Empress Tavern – 1013 K Street. Their takeout menu includes cocktails. Curbside pick-up as well as delivery via Chownow and Doordash.
- Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates -1801 L Street. Curbside pick-up & delivery of only those items listed on their website. Delivery is available through Postmates, Doordash, and GrubHub.
- Golden Bear – 2326 K Street. Takeout and delivery via Doordash from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Golden Bear is also offering free gifts if you pick-up food and buy a gift card.
- Hawks Provisions – 1525 Alhambra. Breakfasts, lunches, and family-style dinners to go. For every family-style dinner sold, the restaurant is donating a meal to one of its employee’s families. The menu includes craft cocktails to go.
- Hook and Ladder – 1630 S Street. Curbside takeout and Doordash delivery within 5 miles. 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
- Kru Contemporary Japanese – 3135 Folsom Boulevard. Pre-orders are taken from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Curbside pick-up and walk-in to-go orders available from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
- One Speed Pizza – 4818 Folsom Boulevard. Curbside pick up offered. Park in the neighboring parking lot.
- Paragary’s – 1401 28th Street. Delivery via Postmates.
- Tank House BBQ– 1925 J Street. Curbside pick-up available from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Tank House is offering its full food menu, butcher shop selections, & cocktails to go from Jungle Bird. Orders must be picked up within 45 minutes of being placed.

This local bookstore used a savvy social media campaign in order to generate revenue during these hard times. The owners have been working long hours to keep Sacramento residents entertained during quarantine. Instead of resorting to Amazon, remember that you have the option to buy your next novel here:
