What Happened?
A car slammed into a utility pole Tuesday morning, causing a road closure and a power outage in the vicinity of Loomis.
What Time Did the Crash Occur?
The motorist hit the power pole at approximately 2:15 a.m. along Auburn Folsom Road.
No information has been made available regarding the injuries sustained by the driver.
It appears to have been a single-car collision with a power pole.
Road Closure Specifics
Auburn Folsom Road between Tudsbury and Dick Cook Roads will be shut down for several hours while crews work to repair the downed utility pole.
Thankfully, only about 14 residents are without power. PG&E is working to restore power to their customers after this early morning crash.

The cause of the Loomis car crash is under investigation. It usually takes the responding agency approximately 7 to 10 days to prepare a report of their findings.
