Intersections Are Common Locations for a Major Injury Collision
Numerous accidents occur at intersections, where over half of all crashes are reported. The extent of injuries can vary depending on the type of collision:
- Frontal collisions are particularly hazardous, often leading to broken bones, spinal injuries, and head trauma.
- T-bone accidents frequently cause significant injuries as the sides of vehicles are less protected compared to the front and rear. These accidents can result in spinal cord injuries, bone fractures, and other severe trauma.
- Despite occurring at intersections with lower speeds, rear-end collisions can still cause cervical strain or sprain. If a vehicle is rear-ended and pushed into an intersection, the collision can escalate into a major injury incident.
- Sideswipe accidents typically result in minor trauma since the vehicles are usually in the midst of a turn. However, if one or both vehicles are forced into other traffic lanes, severe injuries may occur.
Filing a Personal Injury Claim
When a negligent driver injures you, you can file a personal injury claim to recover compensation. An accident lawyer works on a contingency basis, so you pay nothing unless you win your case. Some of the ways an accident lawyer helps you prove your case and recover compensation include:
- Our law firm offers a free case review and will tell you whether you can file a claim, answer any questions, and let you know what options are available to recover compensation.
- Our investigators go to work immediately to gather evidence supporting your claim. For example, they will review the police report for errors, interview witnesses, scour the accident site for evidence, and seek surveillance cameras that might have captured the collision on tape.
- One of our firm’s attorneys compiles the significant injury collision evidence into a compelling case supporting your claim.
- The attorney will negotiate with the at-fault party’s insurance company to obtain maximum compensation for you.
- If the insurance company does not pay what you deserve, the attorney can take your case to civil court to recover your fair compensation.
