Painting “The Marsh”
Date: Saturday, May 18, 2019

Admission: $50 tickets
If you are interested in nature or the arts, this event is made for you. This one day class, guided by instructor Barbara Gill, will start with a live demonstration of the design that participants will create themselves. Participants will use a cat tongue brush with colored ink for sketching the ducks, birds, flowers, and cattails. Watercolor washes will be applied to create the marsh creek. Tickets are $50, with an additional $15 materials fee that goes directly to the instructor.
2019 Modesto Women’s Leadership Conference
Date: Saturday, May 25, 2019

Admission: $35 tickets
The 2019 Women’s Leadership Conference is coming to the Modesto Centre Plaza. There will be guest speakers and discussions covering the following subjects: entrepreneurship, education, equality, community involvement, careers, finance, start-ups, the small business sector, and re-entering the workforce, mental health, politics, and much more. This event is all about empowering women to live the life they want, who knows what life changes you may be inspired to make after attending this insightful conference!
The Breath in Between: Guided Meditations

Elevate Community Yoga is taking a step up with their yoga classes – they are now offering even more free classes each month from May through July. This new series of yoga classes will be guided by Jake Murry. Similar to all other classes taught at this studio, no experience is required to join. Bring an open mind and comfortable clothes that you don’t mind sitting in for 30+ minutes. End your week on a positive note and reconnect with your inner yogi.
