I’m Ed Smith, an Auburn personal injury lawyer. A multi-vehicle traffic collision happened on Saturday, May 7, 2016 leaving many motorists delayed along southbound Highway 49 in Auburn.
What Happened?
A traffic collision involving four cars and a truck injured three people and completely blocked the southbound lanes of Highway 49 in the vicinity of Dry Creek Road in North Auburn.
The collision occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. The southbound lanes were blocked for a good hour while rescue personnel transported injured parties to area hospitals and cleaned up the roadway.
What Caused the North Auburn Car Crash?
No information as to the cause of the crash has been made available. It usually takes about two weeks for the California Highway Patrol or other investigating agency to prepare a traffic collision report. It can take longer if there are injuries or fatalities involved. In this instance, Cal Fire’s Grass Valley Command Center indicated three people were hurt in the crash and were being treated. Thankfully, no fatalities were reported.
An experienced car accident lawyer can assist injured victims and/or their families in determining cause of an accident by performing thorough scene investigations and looking at evidence from a crash. If you or a loved one has been seriously injured in an auto accident and you think someone else was negligent, contact an experienced attorney as soon as possible. This will ensure your rights are protected and valuable evidence can be preserved.
