A pedestrian was killed in an Orangevale motorcycle accident on January 12, which may have involved speeding by the rider. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision occurred on Greenback Lane near Hazel Avenue at about 10:20 p.m. The CHP reported the motorcyclist was speeding when the accident occurred involving a 58-year-old pedestrian who was passing through the westbound lanes with a shopping cart.
