Pedestrian Dies While Trying to Cross Florin Road
A pedestrian accident fatality occurred along Florin Road sometime during the morning hours between 55th Street and East Southgate Drive on March 3 as the walker was attempting to cross the street. The vehicle driver that hit the pedestrian stayed at the scene and cooperated with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) investigators in determining the cause of the crash. Neither drugs nor alcohol is suspected as a factor in the accident fatality. The identity of the deceased pedestrian has not been released, pending notification of the family by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
