Pedestrian Walking on Auburn Boulevard Killed in Big Rig Crash
A male pedestrian died on August 7 after being struck in a big rig crash in North Highlands outside a designated crosswalk. The accident happened around noon along Auburn Boulevard near Myrtle Avenue. The pedestrian was said to be age 60 by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Pedestrian Expires in Hospital Following Big Rig Crash
The pedestrian was walking west along Auburn Boulevard when he was struck by a Sacramento man, 51, driving a Freightliner, who was turning right onto Auburn when the pedestrian was struck. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at Mercy San Juan Medical Center. The CHP traffic accident investigation unit is handling the case to find out what occurred.
