A two-car crash occurred on Interstate 80 in Roseville, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). This auto accident happened around 7:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 near Atlantic Street. The crash blocked the No. 5 lane for a time.

Another motorist swerved into the officer’s unmarked patrol car, causing an accident, according to the CHP.

The officer in the patrol car was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries. The driver that caused the accident was uninjured.

According to CHP, alcohol and/or drugs was not suspected in this motor vehicle accident.
