Four Vehicles Involved in Fatal Accident on SR 65
A fatal accident took place in Roseville on April 8 in a collision on southbound State Route 65. The collision happened at the eastbound Pleasant Grove Boulevard on-ramp around 5:36 p.m. The Auburn division of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the collision, which involved a Chevy Silverado pickup, Lexus, Chevy Spark, and one other vehicle.
Southbound SR 65 Shut Down Due to Fatal Accident
All the southbound lanes of SR 65 were blocked by the collision. The Rocklin police were contacted to close westbound Pleasant Grove Boulevard to SR 65, and a SigAlert was issued. No time was estimated as to when the roadway would be clear. Motorists were urged to use alternate routes and to expect delays.

Identity of Deceased Motorist to Be Released by County Coroner
The county coroner arrived at the scene to declare one person deceased in the crash. The identity of the deceased will not be released until family members are notified. No information was provided about any injuries.
Three Vehicles Towed After Fatal Accident – One as Evidence
The Chevy pickup was towed as evidence. It was also reported that the Lexus and Chevy Spark sustained major damage and were also towed from the scene. The roadway was clear at 8:15 p.m. An accident investigation is underway by the CHP to learn how the collision occurred.
