Roseville Reckless Driver Hits Two Cars and a House
Roseville Police Department made an announcement on Monday, October 19, 2015 that they caught and arrested the reckless driver of a Pontiac Trans Am.
Roseville Police spokesperson Dee Dee Gunther, said the occurrence started at about 5:04 p.m. A concerned citizen called 911 and said an older sedan was driving erratically on Baseline Road in the city of Roseville. Gunther said the citizen told police dispatch that the Pontiac was “weaving over the center line.”
PICK UP TRUCK HIT AND FRONT PORCH OF A HOME
A Roseville Police Officer quickly spotted the the vehicle on Main Street near Bitner. This was right before the Pontiac crashed into a pickup truck.
The driver of the Pontiac took off from the accident scene with the officer in pursuit. The Pontiac then crashed into the front porch of a nearby house. The driver fled on foot and the passenger surrendered.
DRUGS FOUND IN THE VEHICLE
Officers found drugs in the car. The passenger was arrested on charges of possessing methamphetamine and transporting marijuana. He was booked into the Placer County Jail.
The driver of the Pontiac was apprehended by police at about 5:45 p.m. He faces charges of resisting arrest, reckless disregard for public safety, hit and run, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license. He has been booked into the Placer County Jail.
