Head-On Crash Occurs on Bradshaw Road
A three-vehicle head-on crash in Sacramento on June 3 caused critical injuries to two people. The collision happened along Bradshaw Road near Jackson Highway around 2:00 p.m., involving a work truck and two cars. Sacramento Metro Fire officials reported that at least one of the people involved in the crash had to be extricated.
Two People Hospitalized With Critical Injuries
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that those injured in the crash were hospitalized. Another two people who were extricated were assessed for injuries and released. The identities of those who were hospitalized have not been released. At least two vehicles were towed from the accident scene with significant front-end damage. CHP traffic accident investigators are determining the cause of the collision.
Causes of Head-On Collisions
It is extremely dangerous for occupants of both vehicles to be involved in a head-on crash. Fifty-eight percent of head-on accidents result in death, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
