Sacramento Multiple Big Rig Collision
A multiple big rig collision in Sacramento resulted in major injuries on July 23. The accident, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), happened at around 11:15 in the morning in the Natomas area along northbound Interstate 5 near Arena Boulevard. The CHP reported that three big rigs were involved in the accident, along with another unidentified vehicle. It was noted in the logbook maintained by the CHP that the driver of one semi was speeding and attempting to make an unsafe lane change before the collision. Major injuries were reported in the crash, and at least one person was transported to a hospital for further treatment. Tow trucks removed the vehicles from the accident site. The accident is under investigation by authorities to determine its cause and to assign fault.
