South Sacramento Crash Kills Young Driver

I’m Ed Smith, a South Sacramento Accident Attorney. A fatal accident took the life of a young driver in the south area of Sacramento on the night of Monday, September 12, 2016.

What Happened?

Authorities from the California Highway Patrol reported a fatal accident had occurred in the South Sacramento vicinity at approximately 9:20 pm. Twenty-year-old Enrique Hernandez Limon, from Sacramento, was behind the wheel of his Camaro. Limon was driving northbound on Power Inn Road past the cross streets of Gerber Road and Florin Road. For reasons yet unknown, Limon swerved and lost control of his vehicle, driving into oncoming traffic in the lanes heading southbound.

Victim Suffered Blunt Force Trauma

A vehicle driving in the southbound direction could not avoid the out of control vehicle and struck the driver’s side of Limon’s car. Due to the major damage sustained to Limon’s vehicle, crews had to extricate him out of the car. Sadly, Limon suffered blunt force trauma and did not survive the crash. The driver of the vehicle travelling southbound suffered minor injuries and was detained on suspicion of an outstanding warrant.

What Caused the Accident

Information relating to the cause of the crash is still under investigation. It usually takes about 10 days for the responding agency to prepare a traffic collision report. Sometimes the report contains errors or is inconclusive. This is sad for family members who ae looking for answers as to how their loved one died.
