Entertainment and Arts

Little Shop of Horrors

Come out this weekend through August 6 to see the hit musical “Little Shop of Horrors” by Sierra Stage.

When: Through August 6, 2016- Thursdays at 7:00 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.

Where: Nevada Theatre, 401 Broad Street, Nevada City, CA

Price: $28 general admission, $35 reserved seating in advance is available.

“OKLAHOMA!”

Watch the American Musical “Oklahoma!” on weekends through August 6.

When: 7:30 p.m. Fridays, July 29 and August 5
7:30 p.m. Saturdays, July 30 and August 6
2 p.m. Saturdays, July 30 and August 6, and Sundays, July 24 and 31.

Where: State Theatre, 985 Lincoln Way, Auburn CA

Price: $25 for adults; $20 for seniors and groups of 10 or more, children and students.

Parks and Recreations

$1 Swimming night

Bring the whole family out for a fun night of swimming at Placer Hills Pool.

When: Wednesday, August 3, 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.

Where: Placer Hills Pool, 1101 Meadow Lane Meadow Vista, CA

All entering the pool area must pay the fee- swimming or non-swimming. Flotation devices are not allowed, and all children 6 and under must be accompanied by a swimming adult.

Food Truck Fiesta

Enjoy a night in the park with live music and delicious bites. Whether you want to try one of the 11 food trucks, explore the beer garden, or play in the kid zone, you will have a great time at this family-friendly event.

When: Friday, August 19 at 5:00 p.m.

Where: Recreation Park, 123 Recreation Dr, Auburn, CA

Proceeds from this event will go towards the Auburn Bike Park. See you there!
