A preliminary release indicated that a driver, age 17, was behind the wheel of a pickup truck headed southbound on Burson Road. An ambulance that was passing by the area was responding to an unrelated call and came upon the crash site after it occurred. Fire crews were requested at the scene to extricate the motorist as they were trapped inside the pickup truck, which sustained major damage.

One injured passenger was transported via air ambulance to the hospital. The motorist was taken by ground ambulance to the hospital for serious injuries. It was unclear if the second passenger was injured and received treatment at the hospital. Additional information on the incident has not yet been provided by officials. Recovering Financial Compensation in a Single-Vehicle Accident Case

When an individual sustains traumatic injuries in a crash, they may experience lasting emotional trauma and physical pain. If another party is to blame for the incident, the injured party may be eligible for financial compensation through a personal injury claim. Non-economic damages are intended to compensate an injured party for losses, such as disfigurement or scarring, loss of enjoyment of life, pain and suffering, loss of consortium, and more. As with economic damages, an injured party may seek reimbursement of medical bills, wage loss, and other financial losses associated with the crash.

In the context of a solo-car crash, an injured passenger may have a claim for damages against the motorist that caused the incident. If the driver lacks auto insurance, the injured passenger may seek compensation through their uninsured motorist protection. Conversely, if the motorist has liability coverage but not enough to cover all resulting losses, a claim through underinsured motorist coverage may be in order for the injured passenger.

Single-vehicle accident cases may be challenging due to a myriad of reasons. For injured passengers, they may be unsure of bringing a claim against the driver of the vehicle. However, it is essential to seek reimbursement for losses from a car wreck if someone else is to blame for causing them. Injured parties may feel more at ease after discussing their potential case in detail with an experienced accident attorney. This way, an injured party can be made aware of all aspects of their personal injury case and their options moving forward.
