The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District (CCCFPD) responded to a call of a broadside collision on Vasco Road, just south of Camino Diablo. The incident occurred on Thursday, October 27, 2022, shortly after 5:30 a.m., according to a press release by the California Highway Patrol.

CHP traffic officers reported that three vehicles, described as a Nissan Sentra, a white pickup truck, and a red Toyota Tundra, were involved in the broadside collision. One involved party reported that the Nissan allegedly entered the oncoming traffic lane and collided with the other vehicles, officials said.
Authorities reported injuries in the three-vehicle collision. Details surrounding the incident, including how many people were injured and what led up to the crash, were not immediately available. An investigation into the car accident is ongoing by officials.
