Walerga Road Accident Between Two Vehicles Injures One Person
A two-vehicle crash in Antelope on December 3 resulted in one reported injury. The collision occurred around noon on northbound Walerga Road just north of North Loop Boulevard. The accident, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) report, happened between a Chevy SUV and a Chevy Traverse.
Additional Details of the Two-Vehicle Crash
Both vehicles pulled to the right-hand side of the roadway, and traffic was not impeded. One person in a vehicle reported a complaint of shoulder pain, and first responders with the Sacramento Fire Department were called to the scene to assess injuries from the two-vehicle crash. It was not reported whether that person was taken to a hospital for further treatment or was treated at the scene. The two-vehicle crash is being investigated by the CHP to place fault and find out how it occurred.
Getting Help After a Traffic Injury
A two-vehicle crash is never expected, and when they cause injuries, the injured person not only faces possible surgeries and recuperation but the potential loss of wages and high expenses. They may feel frustrated and angry that a negligent person caused harm to them and wonder how they will pay those bills. The law allows a person who has been injured because of someone else to claim fair compensation. It will pay their medical bills, for their lost wages and can reimburse them for their pain and suffering.

Reasons for a Two-Vehicle Crash
There are many reasons a two-vehicle crash can occur. Almost all of them are due to the negligence of one type or another. Knowing how these accidents can happen can prepare a motorist to exercise more caution to avoid causing them. The most common reasons for a two-vehicle accident are:
- Intersections: About 40 percent of all accidents happen at intersections. This is understandable since a motorist is faced with traffic coming from all directions, which is stop and go.
- Rear-end collisions: These types of accidents can happen anywhere and are often caused by a distracted or drunk driver, fatigue, or speeding.
- Head-on crashes: A head-on collision can happen on a highway, city street, or rural road. On highways, they are commonly caused when a driver mistakenly enters the highway using the exit instead of the entrance ramp. Those who are intoxicated commonly commit this traffic error. The same is true on city streets when a driver enters a one-way street going in the wrong direction. On rural roads, frontal crashes are often caused by unsafe passing.
- Sideswipes: A sideswipe usually happens because a driver doesn’t check their blind spot before moving over to the adjacent lane. They also happen when the motorist attempts to change lanes when making a left turn.
- T-bone accidents: A two-vehicle crash can happen when a driver is turning left while traffic is oncoming. This is because they misjudge the distance of an oncoming vehicle.
