Vacaville Motorcyclist Identified
On Friday, July 26, Solano County officials released the identity of a Vacaville resident who was fatally injured during a local motorcycle accident. The man was identified as 57-year-old Albert Martin Daniels. Police say that the man was reported missing a week earlier and eventually found off of the side of a highway in Fairfield. I would like to offer my condolences to Mr. Daniel’s family after they have endured such a tragic event.
Crash Information
Police reported that Daniels left his home at around 4:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019, heading for his job at an office in the Bay Area. Daniels’ disappearance was first noted by his co-workers who told police that is was unusual for him not to show up. Officers of the Vacaville Police Department (VPD) reportedly attempted to check in with him at his home but found that his family had not seen him either. Later on, members of Daniels’ family filed an official missing person report.
Officers say that they continued their investigation, deciding to ping Daniel’ cell phone to see if they could pinpoint his location. This process led investigators to an area off of Highway Interstate 80 on the northern end of the city of Fairfield, just off of the Manuel Campos Road exit. Officers say that they discovered Daniels nearby his crashed Harley Davidson motorcycle in an area with low elevation off of the westbound side of the highway. Police indicated that Daniels had tragically already passed away when investigators located him.
Investigation
While CHP has indicated that they are looking into what may have caused this accident, no suspected factors have been mentioned by investigating officers so far. When a driver passes away during a crash, so does their version of what happened. For this reason, it is important for family members to contact a professional who can conduct an independent investigation in order to find out whether or not the crash was caused by negligent parties such as vehicle manufacturers, hit-and-run drivers, phantom vehicles, or governments responsible for maintaining the roadway.
What to Do After a Fatal Accident
If you’ve lost a person you care about, chances are that you are going through some difficult emotions. Families are often left with intense grief, and it can take a long time to learn how to cope with your tragic loss. It’s understandable that people often need to take time to heal, but this is sadly sometimes not possible because of financial concerns like burial costs, lost income, and more. In order to fully recover these losses, the families of decedents can pursue wrongful death claims. To learn more about the types of compensation available or to get specific advice about your situation, contact a trustworthy Vacaville wrongful death lawyer as soon as you can.
