WATCH LAST YEAR’S EVENT!

HISTORY OF OF TBD:

In 2008, founder Michael Hargis started a tiny, one-day event called Launch.  His co-founder is Clay Nutting.  Launch was born as a society for the creative people in the community.

Launch wanted to “launch” up-and-coming local talent through a festival-type experience.   The aim of Launch was to throw a party that united a hot group of musicians, fashion designers, artists, architects, and boutiques.  It was a ground-breaking event for the region’s creative community.

By 2012-2013, Launch blossomed into a large-sized music festival.    In 2014, Launch changed its name to TBD Fest.  It now enjoys being known for one of the best music festivals in the nation.    It currently draws in festival attendees from all over the world.

Michael & Clay’s vision is to deliver nationally relevant events that showcase emerging artists, iconic bands, and individuals who inspire us all.

2015 TBD FEST!

Those involved with the planning of this year’s TBD Fest are expecting 30,000 festival-goers over a three-day event period.

Last year, dust control was an issue at the event.  This year the festival has made improvements in this area.

There will be a water refill station.  You may fill your water jugs.  Bring empty water bottles to the event.

This year’s event will end earlier due to noise complaints by residents of West Sacramento last year.

Event organizers installed an earlier curfew so that West Sacramento Police Department will have fewer noise complaints to deal with.

The TBD Fest is hopeful that the traffic and noise challenges will be vastly improved this year.  It remains difficult to co-exist with the community when you have 30,000 excited festival-goers coming into the Tower Bridge District.  We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable event!
