Investigation Underway to Determine Cause of Rancho Cordova Collision
Authorities say it is unclear if drugs or alcohol factored into the crash. An investigation is underway by the CHP traffic unit to determine what caused the accident.
Causes of a Single-Vehicle Crash Other Than Driver Error
- Environmental factors can significantly contribute to single-vehicle Rancho Cordova collision, often playing a decisive role in both the occurrence and severity of an accident. Poor weather conditions, such as rain, snow, or fog, can reduce visibility and affect road traction, leading to loss of control.
- Poorly maintained roads with potholes, loose gravel, or inadequate signage can create hazards that catch drivers off guard. Furthermore, lighting conditions, particularly during dusk or nighttime, can hinder a driver’s ability to navigate safely. When a single-vehicle crash occurs due to a poorly maintained roadway, there may be grounds for holding the government entity responsible for the accident. Because a claim against a government entity has a time limit of six months, enlisting the help of an injury lawyer is a good idea.
- Defective auto parts are another critical factor in single-vehicle crashes, which often result in severe consequences for drivers and passengers alike. Malfunctions in brakes, tires, or steering systems, can severely impair a driver’s ability to control the vehicle. If an auto defect causes an injury crash, a product liability claim may be placed against the manufacturer and others in the production line.
