South Lake Tahoe Area Fatal Head-On Crash Occurs Near Audrain Way

A head-on crash on Highway 50 near Audrain Way in the South Lake Tahoe area resulted in two fatalities and four injuries on November 28. Significant traffic disruptions occurred as a result on the evening of November 28. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the crash occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. and involved two vehicles.

Fatal Head-On Crash Involved Four Injuries

Officials confirmed that in addition to the two fatalities, four other people suffered injuries. The accident happened when an older Toyota Sequoia traveling westbound, and a Chevrolet Traverse heading eastbound collided in the eastbound lane. The CHP traffic collision unit is investigating to determine the cause of the crash. The identity of the deceased individual is being withheld pending notification of their family by the county coroner.
