Gardening Session

This biweekly gardening session at the Central Park Gardens is perfect for anyone out there trying to improve or maintain their green thumb. Tasks vary each week but could include some of the following activities: weeding, pruning, mulching, raking, watering, and/or planting. Everything needed for these gardening activities such as proper tools, gloves, and gardening advice will all be provided on-site. This is a must-attend for all you nature lovers out there!

Winter Solstice Yoga & Sound Bath
Date: Saturday, December 21, 2019
Time: 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Location: 612 4th St, Davis, CA 95616
Admission: $40 tickets
Be still and look inward for reflection and renewal at Kaya Yoga Studio. They will be honoring the Winter Solstice, the returning of the light and extended days of the sun, through this celebratory retreat. Yogis will be encouraged to take their focus and attention inward for the purpose of reflecting on the year that is coming to an end and the light that is welcoming us into 2020. This state of inner reflection will be elevated through restorative and healing yoga poses and a calming sound bath with Crystal and Tibetan bowls.
34th Annual Holiday Meal
Date: Tuesday, December 24, 2019
Time: 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Location: 203 East 14th St, Davis, CA 95616
Admission: Free
Come over to the Veteran’s Memorial Center this Christmas for a free and festive holiday dinner. This dinner is an open invitation for anyone interested. Dinner serving options will include a traditional meal, as well as vegan dinner options. Any donations for dessert will be highly appreciated. If you would like to help support the 34th annual holiday meal, donations are accepted in the form of volunteering, monetary contributions, or food/snacks. We hope to see you there!
