Elk Grove Motorist Drives into Swimming Pool
Elk Grove Motorist Drives into Swimming Pool
I’m Ed Smith, an Elk Grove auto accident attorney. A sport utility vehicle crashed into a swimming pool at an Elk Grove residence on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, police said.
What Happened?
A neighbor living nearby said she was about to pick up her children from school when she heard several loud bangs a few houses over.
She went outside to investigate and noticed two stop signs knocked down. Then she discovered a gaping hole in her neighbor’s fence. She and some area residents entered the backyard and found an SUV starting to sink in a backyard swimming pool.
The SUV’s driver was unable to escape through the front doors or windows. He finally managed to climb into the backseat and one of the neighbors was able to pry a door open for him.
Once the man was out of the SUV safely the neighbors wanted to know what caused him to lose control of his vehicle. He said he had been fasting and that he had a history of high blood pressure. The man was not injured in the crash.
Where Did the Incident Occur?
The incident happened on Rainbow Fall Way in Elk Grove.
How Was the SUV Removed From The Pool?
A crane on a fire truck had to pull the SUV out of the water.
The homeowner wasn’t home at the time of the incident. No one else was injured in the incident.
The crash is under investigation.
