What?
The Elk Grove Police Department is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications once again for the next Citizens’ Academy.
The Citizens’ Academy was designed to educate and bring information to interested Elk Grove residents about the various aspects of municipal policing. This program will include the following topics:
- Patrol and investigations
- Vehicle operations
- Arrest and Control Techniques
- 911 Communications
- Code Enforcement
- Animal Control
When?
The Citizens’ Academy will begin September 1, 2015.
It runs for 13-weeks on Tuesdays, from 6-9 pm.
How Much Does Citizens’ Academy Cost?
The Citizens’ Academy is free of charge.
Why?
Because being educated in municipal policing helps you to become a better informed citizen of the City of Elk Grove.
Where?
Classes will be held at the Elk Grove Police Department located at:
You must be employed or living in the City of Elk Grove
You must have no felony convictions
You must undergo a background check before entering the Citizens’ Academy
