Man Killed in Falling Tree Accident on Tres Picos Drive
A falling tree accident at Yuba City on February 4 killed a man, age 82, when a large redwood fell on him. The tragedy occurred sometime before 7:00 p.m. at Tres Picos Drive when the Yuba City Police Department received a call from one of the man’s neighbors. Upon arrival, they discovered the man, David Gomes, under the tree in his backyard.
Neighbor Contacts Police in Falling Tree Accident
A lieutenant with the police department said the man might have been on a ladder and was attempting to clear the tree away from his home. A neighbor who called said they heard the tree fall at about 5:00 p.m. and went over to the house and found the deceased man. Although first responders attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the man was unable to be revived.
