Fatal Crash on Clayburn Road in Antioch
The Antioch Police Department reported a fatal two-vehicle crash on Clayburn Road on July 6, 2023. The auto collision occurred at Clayburn Road and Lone Tree Way intersection shortly before 4:50 p.m. The crash involved a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a sedan, officials said.

A preliminary release by investigators indicated that the sedan and the Jeep were involved in a traffic collision at the intersection. The impact of the crash caused the Jeep to overturn, officials reported. The sedan driver was the sole occupant of their vehicle. They had complaints of chest pain and were treated at the hospital. The driver and passenger of the Jeep also received treatment at the hospital.
Sadly, another passenger, a 20-year-old Antioch woman, in the Jeep suffered fatal injuries in the collision. A GoFundMe page has been set up for her family to assist with final resting arrangements.
A preliminary investigation by Antioch PD revealed that speed is believed to be a factor in the car wreck. Additional information on the fatal crash at Clayburn Road and Lone Tree Way in Antioch has not yet been released. An investigation is underway by the Antioch Police Department.
