The Newark Police Department reported a fatal vehicle vs. motorcycle collision on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. The incident occurred at approximately 9:20 a.m. near the intersection of Dupont Avenue and Cedar Avenue, according to officials.

In a statement by Newark PD released on December 16th, officials responded to a report of a vehicle versus a motorcyclist in the area. When Newark PD officers arrived, they located the injured motorcycle rider in the roadway. Life-saving measures were performed on the injured biker. Sadly, the motorcyclist was declared deceased at the collision site.
A preliminary report released by authorities revealed that the biker was headed northbound on Cedar Avenue when he was allegedly involved in a collision with a vehicle turning left onto southbound Cedar Avenue from Dupont Avenue. The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the crash site and cooperate with officials.
