Two people were riding on a motorcycle along Van Maren Lane in Citrus Heights when they collided with a vehicle as it was making a turn out of Summers Worth Road.

Authorities reported the impact of the collision so severe that the occupants on the motorcycle were catapulted some 100 feet away from the scene of the crash.
One Fatality, One Severely Injured
The man operating the motorcycle was tragically killed, and his female rider is reported to be in serious condition.
What Happened to the Driver of the Vehicle?
The driver of the vehicle that collided with the motorcyclists was reportedly shaken by the sequence of events but was not injured as a result of the collision.
