The Fremont Police Department reported a fatal pedestrian accident on Blacow Road on the morning of Friday, December 2, 2022. The car vs. pedestrian collision occurred at approximately 7:40 a.m. near Royal Palm Drive and Blacow Road, according to Fremont PD.

Fremont PD officers responded to a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in the area. Authorities located the involved vehicle and a pedestrian lying down on the road with serious injuries. The driver was said to have been cooperative with officials. The pedestrian was transported to an area trauma center for immediate treatment. Sadly, the pedestrian, a Fremont woman, age 41, passed away.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the woman attempted to cross the street once the pedestrian signal was activated. The driver of the involved vehicle, a 43-year-old woman, allegedly collided with the pedestrian. Fremont PD indicated that the motorist did not display any signs of impairment. An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no further details were immediately available.
