Improving Travel In Our Region
We have a new bridge connecting our community. This bridge effectively separates motor vehicles and rail traffic while improving local and regional traffic flow.
This bridge will soon be a key component of Capital Southeast Connector and our City’s Multimodal Station.
Mayor Gary Davis indicated that the City of Elk Grove is working tirelessly to diminish traffic congestion in our community and the greater Sacramento region as well. The Grant Line Bridge essentially blazes the trail for new transportation milestones. The City of Elk Grove is eager to work with regional, state and federal partners to make travel in the region more convenient.
The new bridge expands sections of Grant Line Road up to four lanes. It also creates an overcrossing that separates motor vehicles from rail service.
The bridge is located less than half a mile east of State Route 99/Grant Line Road. It improves access to existing and future businesses and other spots planned for the southern tip of the City.
