Hit-and-Run Accidents Involving Motorcyclists
Hit-and-run accidents are devastating whenever they occur, regardless of whether the victim was walking as a pedestrian, driving a car or riding a motorcycle. Any time a motorist flees the scene of an accident, the wounded party may suffer traumatic, catastrophic or even fatal injuries. This may evidently result in property damage, medical expenses and even lost wages. When a victim has suffered losses resulting from a hit-and-run accident, it is vital to fall back on your own automobile insurance policy if you carry Uninsured/Under-insured Motorist Protection (UM). Although UM coverage is optional in the state of California, it is important to add it to your insurance policy for incidents like this one.
