The vehicles were moved in front of the fire station so as not to impede traffic. Investigators with the CHP determined the accident was allegedly caused by an SUV that spun out across the lanes and struck a recreational vehicle and sedan.
Trauma Can Sometimes Result From Minor Injuries
In two-vehicle accidents or other types of collisions, delayed symptoms are common. As a result of adrenaline flooding their bodies, those involved in a collision may not feel any pain right away. It is possible, however, for symptoms to appear days or weeks later and to worsen. Some of these symptoms can indicate serious conditions such as damage to internal organs, traumatic brain injuries, herniated discs or bleeding that require immediate medical attention.
In the Aftermath of an Injury Accident, How Do I Protect My Claim?
You should seek medical attention immediately after an injury accident, even if you do not believe your trauma was serious. A doctor can pinpoint any potential problems and establish that your accident occurred. It is possible for the insurance company of the at-fault party to claim that your damage was caused by something else other than the accident you were involved in if you do not see a medical professional immediately.
An Injury Accident Attorney’s Role in Compensation Recovery
Obtaining compensation for people hurt by another’s negligence is an accident attorney’s job. In order to support your injury claim, they first investigate the case to collect evidence. Moreover, they can collect evidence that proves you suffered a financial loss as well as injuries due to the at-fault party.
Compensation for Your Accident Can be Calculated by Your Accident Lawyer
Your lawyer can gather all of your medical bills related to the accident, including the ambulance fee, hospitalization costs, possible surgeries, medications and rehabilitation. Adding the cost of future treatment to your compensation claim is possible if your injury will last for some time.
Losses incurred because of the inability to work are treated in the same way. In addition to lost wages, you may also lose bonuses, pensions and insurance benefits. If you have to take a lower-paying job or become disabled, the difference in pay or wages until retirement age is factored into your settlement. A compensation calculation for pain and suffering will also be performed by the accident attorney using experts.
