Fatality and Injuries in Accident in Arden-Arcade on Fulton Avenue
An accident in Arden-Arcade on May 18 caused one death and injuries to four others. The collision occurred at about 5:37 p.m. on Fulton Avenue between Elvyra Way and Marconi Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). A male driver, age 50, was going south in a Toyota 4Runner along Fulton Avenue when he was involved in a rear-end collision with a Dodge pickup.
Pickup Driver Dies in Accident in Arden-Arcade
The impact caused the pickup to roll over and it ended up off the roadway in the Arden-Arcade crash. The driver, a male, age 50, was killed in the crash. His female passenger was injured. The Toyota driver continued on and struck a Volkswagen SUV, whose occupants were a woman and an infant. Both women suffered minor trauma in the accident in Arden-Arcade.
Driver Who Caused Fatal Accident Arrested on Suspicion of Intoxication
The infant was transported to a hospital as a precautionary measure. The Toyota driver was also transported to a hospital with minor trauma and was placed under arrest by officers for suspected impaired driving. CHP traffic collision detectives are conducting an investigation into the accident.
