STOCKTON, CA – On Friday afternoon around 4:45, emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash on Benjamin Holt Drive near Pacific Avenue in Stockton. California Highway Patrol logs show the accident halted Benjamin Holt’s eastbound lanes for a significant time as the accident was being cleared. While an emergency response team was dispatched to the scene, it is unclear if there were any injuries.

LOS BANOS, CA – Around 11:35 p.m. on Friday, March 28, the Merced Communications Center received a report of an accident on Santa Fe Drive, just east of Business Park Way, in which a driver struck a pedestrian.
CHP and an emergency crew were dispatched to the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest that the adult male pedestrian, who was wearing dark clothing, was walking inside an eastbound traffic lane along an unlit section of Santa Fe Drive. The driver, who was in a Nissan, suddenly spotted the pedestrian and swerved left, but was unable to avoid hitting him. The pedestrian was rushed by air ambulance to a Modesto hospital with severe injuries. The driver was uninjured, and was determined not to have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the collision.
The accident is still under investigation.

TURLOCK, CA – A March 31 car fire in a parking lot near North Tully Road and Fulkerth Road in Turlock caused one person to suffer severe burns. Turlock Fire Department crews arrived at the Walmart parking lot just after 9:30 a.m. to extinguish the fire. The injured person was transported via helicopter to an area hospital.
The reason for the car fire is under investigation.

STOCKTON, CA – An 84 year-old man was killed after being hit by a car on Monday morning, around 6:30 a.m., near Holiday Drive and E. March Lane in Stockton. Police stated that the driver of the car called 911 and remained at the scene to provide an account of the accident.
The injured pedestrian was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.
