MODESTO, CA — Friday morning, April 18, a motorcycle collided with a second vehicle on East Briggsmore Avenue and Rose Avenue. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene just before 9:50 a.m. The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital and, luckily, Modesto Police reported that the cyclist’s injuries were not life-threatening.

The accident delayed traffic for a short period. The cause of the crash remains ongoing.

MANTECA, CA – A 57 year-old Manteca man riding an e-scooter was killed in a collision with another vehicle Sunday night around 8:20 p.m. The rider was crossing the street when his scooter was struck by a vehicle driving north on Airport Way. Also on scooters were the victim’s daughter and brother, who did not attempt to cross the street and were unharmed. Manteca Police performed life-saving actions at the scene until the victim was rushed to a local hospital, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries.
