Merced County, CA – A 41 year old Ceres man and a male juvenile were killed March 22, around 12:20am, after a head-on collision with a Los Banos woman who was reportedly driving a BMW at a high rate of speed. California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the crash site, and determined the BMW was speeding southbound along Highway 165, south of Turner Avenue, when it careened off course along a curve, sending it into the northbound lane. It veered straight into a Honda, killing both of its occupants at the scene. The 20 year-old driver of the BMW suffered major injuries and was transported to a Modesto hospital. CHP officers determined the BMW driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time the crash, and arrested her for suspected felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter. The exact details of the collision remain under investigation.

Tracy, CA – A single-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck was reported early Tuesday morning, March 25, around 8:47am. Modesto, CA – Modesto police reported a two-vehicle collision on Scenic Drive near the intersection with Oakdale Road Monday afternoon around 2:30.
