Antelope Christmas Festivities 2017
I’m Ed Smith, an Antelope personal injury lawyer. Traditions are one of the important parts of a community. One of the favorite traditions in Antelope is the annual Christmas hayride sponsored by the Antelope Lions Club. What a great way to gather with family and friends to enjoy the Christmas lights!
Time and Place
This year, according to the Antelope News, the hayride is being held December 9, and four ride times are scheduled. Olive Grove Elementary is the start off point. Scheduled rides are from 5:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. on the hour. The cost is $10 with no charge for children under three who ride in their parent’s lap. A reservation is necessary because space is limited. You can make your reservation on the Lions Club website. The link to make a reservation for the hayride is on the upper right-hand side of the page.
Annual Christmas Fair
December 16 and 17 are the dates for the long-anticipated Antelope Lions Christmas Fair. This German/Bavarian Christmas Market brings out the cheer in everyone from young to old. Booths with gifts and crafts from ornaments to nutcrackers and figurines are there to tempt you. Other booths tempt your appetite with the alluring smell of mulled wine, coffee and hot chocolate intermingling with German delicacies such as stollen and gingerbread. The Christmas Fair will be open from 10:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening at the VFW Hall at 3300 U Street.
Outdoor Venue Injuries
Although the Lions Club in Antelope has been running safe events for many years, not all events are run as well. For example, food poisoning can be a problem at food stalls if adequate safety and hygiene measures are not followed. Accidents such as slips and falls or trips and falls can also happen if an area hasn’t been adequately policed to look for hazards. For example, a stack of boxes that is in the way or loose cords running where they can be a trip hazard can cause an injury. These types of injuries fall under the category of premises liability. In any type of personal injury, it is a good idea to speak to an experienced personal injury attorney. An attorney can advise you about your rights, whether you have a case and what steps are necessary to present your case.
Personal Injuries
Personal injuries encompass a wide list of traumatic events that include injuries from a car accident that was someone else’s fault. It may also include injuries caused by a negligent truck driver or the company that employs the trucker. Accidents on sidewalks or streets can be the fault of the county or city government. Personal injuries can also include medical malpractice, product liability such as a faulty part on a car that causes an accident, or premises liability. The one thing all types of personal injuries have in common is that they were the result of negligence.
