Spring might just be one of the prettiest times of the year in Folsom, and it would surely be a waste to stay at home during this vibrant season. Go outside, make some new friends, and maybe even pick up a new hobby this month in Folsom. There are a ton of local activities taking place this month. Below you can find a short list of events. You just might find the perfect activity that you didn’t even know you enjoyed.
53rd Annual Camellia Cup Regatta
Date: Saturday, April 27 – Sunday, April 28, 2019
Time: 9:00 a.m.
Location: Folsom Lake Yacht Club
Admission: $45 entry fee
The Folsom Lake Yacht Club and the Camellia Cup Regatta sponsors are excited to welcome all participating sailors and family members to the 53rd annual Camellia Cup Regatta, a major event for the sailing season. This two-day event takes place on Saturday and Sunday, but there will be two practice races on Friday afternoon for anyone interested in making this event last all weekend long. Over 350 boats are participating.

Spring Arts and Crafts Fair
Date: Sunday, April 28, 2019
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Historic Old Folsom
Admission: Free
The public is invited to spend the day outside on Sutter Street in Historic Folsom for their 52nd annual Spring Arts and Crafts Fair. There will be over 200 artisan vendors eager to showcase their goods. It has never been easier to find high quality, handmade products. Food and drink stand, local eateries, bakeries, wineries, and pubs will all be participating in this event. For those who are more interested in retail purchases, there are a ton of unique boutiques and other shopping centers as well. Be ready to shop till you drop!
Zoo Animal Photography and Paintings
Date: Tuesday, April 30, 2019
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Location: Gallery at 48 Natoma
Admission: Free
An ideal night out for all the nature and wildlife lovers, there will be multimedia imagery of the beautiful world we live in, all of which can be found at Gallery at 48 Natoma. The work of three esteemed female photographers: Lynne Edwards, Ruby Pacheco, and Mary Aiu. An adjacent art space will be reserved for paintings that were completed with the help of real zoo animals from the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary. Mountain lions, tigers, deer, monkeys, birds, and rodents were given non-toxic, washable paint supplies by trained animal professionals. See their paw prints, hove and claw marks, and other markings as they have been transformed into abstract art pieces.
