Sit and Stretch

This one hour class utilizes a chair and other unique, fun props to promote physical wellness among seniors. Sit and Stretch targets older age groups because it is a known fact that as we age, our flexibility, balance, and strength diminishes. This class aims to improve all of these areas of aging while ensuring that participants are comfortable and not overworked by the movements offered in class. Come by the Auburn Senior Center and socialize while strengthening your muscles and stretching your limbs.

A Really Big Shew

Admission: $35 – $40 tickets
Miss the good old days when variety shows were common? You are invited to a night of laughs, entertainment, music, and surprises at the State Theatre with host Ed Sullivan. There will be tribute performances of Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin, and LaBelle. Additionally, there will be guest performances from a magician, NCDC tap dancers, stand-up comedy acts, and more. There will also be a complimentary dessert buffet, local beers, and Fawnridge wines.
Moonlight Hike
Date: Saturday, August 25, 2018
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: 11641 Blocker Dr #220, Auburn, CA 95603
Admission: Free
Venture out with Placer Land Trust while discovering the beauty of nature under the full moon at their Big Hill Preserves. The trail contains unique rock formations, the stunning Raccoon Creek, and gorgeous views of the Sacramento Valley and Sierra Nevada Foothills. Everything will look entirely different when illuminated by the dark, moonlit sky. This hike covers roughly over 4 miles, so expect to be outside for around 3 to 4 hours. The walk will be taken in a relaxed, slow manner since extra caution has to be exercised during nighttime.
