Bicycle Accidents
The number of injuries and deaths in bicycle accidents has increased throughout the nation in recent years. In fact, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that there were 772 bicyclist deaths in 2006 compared to 2015 with 818, accounting for an overall increase of 6 percent. An increase of 2.3 percent was also noted in the trend of estimated bicyclist injuries during those same years in question. According to the National Safety Council, the total damages associated with bicycle injury and fatality is over $4 billion annually.

- Bruises and internal bleeding;

Compensation in Hit and Run Accidents
Accidents involving hit and run drivers present a unique set of legal issues to those involved. If the victim was riding a bicycle at the time of the collision and the responsible driver is not located, they may still be able to recover through their own automobile insurance carrier so long as they have Uninsured Motorist Protection (UM). This type of coverage protects those injured in hit and run accidents in covering all trauma-related expenses and extends to other relatives living within the same household.
