Big Rig Crash Kills Modesto Woman
I’m Ed Smith, a Modesto personal injury lawyer. A Modesto woman was involved in a crash with a big rig and a pickup truck during the afternoon of Friday, April 7, 2017. Sadly, the woman passed away due to the fatal extent of her injuries.
What Happened?
A woman was behind the wheel of her Ford Mustang traveling westbound along Highway 108/120 in the vicinity of Stearns Road at approximately 4:45 pm. A big rig was traveling eastbound along the highway at the same time. For unknown reasons, the Ford Mustang and the big rig crashed. A Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound and was also involved in the collision.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado and the driver of the big rig suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. The woman driving the Ford Mustang was identified as 47-year-old Christene Busser of Modesto. Unfortunately, Busser was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The following video demonstrates the severity of the big rig crash. As you may view in the video, the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Silverado sustained severe body damage.
What Caused the Crash?
It is still too early to determine a cause of the crash. Authorities generally take from seven to ten days to process a Traffic Collision Report. Investigators are looking into whether drunk driving played as a factor in the collision.
