Teen Injured in Bicycle Crash
I was so pleased to learn that the young man who became trapped underneath a car was successfully extricated by fire crews. Even happier to learn he did not sustain life-threatening injuries.
What Happened?
A 13-year-old had to be extricated by fire crews after being trapped beneath a car in a Sacramento neighborhood, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.
Fire crews rushed to the scene of a bicyclist colliding with a car at about 3:25 p.m.
Where Did the Collision Happen?
The collision happened in the area of 49th and V streets, authorities said. When they arrived they found the boy pinned under the car.
The boy was gently extricated from under the car and transported to the hospital, according to rescue personnel.
Thankfully, the boy has non-life-threatening injuries and was reportedly alert and talking.
What Caused the Bicycle and Car to Collide?
No information has been released as to the cause of the collision.
It typically takes the investigating agency between 7 to 10 days to prepare a traffic collision report.
