Bicyclist Killed in Bus Accident
A tragic incident took place in West Sacramento where a bus struck a bicyclist on the night of Saturday, October 8, 2016. Sadly, the bicyclist passed away as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.
What Happened?
A bicyclist was riding down West Capitol Avenue at approximately 7:00 pm. For reasons that are not known, a private charter bus crashed into the bicyclist. The bus was not carrying any passengers at the time of the collision. According to a spokesman from the West Sacramento Police Department, Sergeant Roger Kinney, the bus driver helped authorities by answering questions at the scene.
Victim Information
The bicyclist was a man presumed to be 50 to 60 years old. He was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
