According to a preliminary report by CHP traffic officers, a 48-year-old Oakdale man was behind the wheel of a 2008 Toyota Camry headed northbound on La Grange Road. At the same time, a 51-year-old Auberry woman was driving a 2017 Ford F-350 southbound on La Grange Road. She was driving with two passengers, a 72-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man, both residents of Auberry.

More details on the incident were not immediately available as an investigation is ongoing by CHP.
What You Should Know About Head-On Collisions and Personal Injury Claims
Motor vehicle collisions occur daily in Tuolumne County and across California. Some of which have the potential to result in serious injuries to drivers and passengers. If you were hurt in a car accident caused by another driver or entity, you may be able to seek financial compensation in a personal injury claim or lawsuit. Economic and non-economic damages recoverable through these types of cases may include medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and more.
Recovery in a bodily injury claim for an auto accident should account for past and future long-term losses and expenses. The unfortunate reality is that insurance companies extend offers that only consider a fraction of the damages that claimants rightfully deserve. In other situations, insurance carriers may attempt to dispute the claim by shifting fault on the injured party for the incident. To avoid falling for such defense tactics by insurers, it is best to work with an experienced Sonora personal injury attorney.
An injury lawyer can help collect evidence essential in proving that the other party was responsible for the crash. Such evidence may include traffic incident reports, images from the scene of the head-on collision, video surveillance that captured the motor vehicle collision, statements from eyewitnesses, and reports from accident reconstruction experts. Building a strong case for financial compensation against the other driver is critical to recovering fair compensation for damages incurred. What is the Filing Deadline for a Car Accident Case in California?
To be successful in a personal injury claim, you must file the case within the time allowed by California law, otherwise known as the statute of limitations. Under the California Code of Civil Procedure Section 335.1, a lawsuit must be filed within two years of the traffic collision date. If a claimant fails to comply with the two-year statute of limitations, the court may dismiss the case, and they may lose the right to seek damages.
There are several potential options for recovery when it comes to a head-on collision resulting in serious injuries and losses incurred. If you were hurt, your bodily injury claim should address all accident-related damages. To learn more, schedule a free consultation with a member of our legal team today.
