I’m Ed Smith, a Chico Auto Accident Attorney. Chico State University built a new bridge on the afternoon of July 19, 2016. The bridge is designed to benefit emergency vehicle transportation for the best interest of their dedicated students and staff.

Chico State has been offering their students an excellent quality of academics for more than 125 years. The university provides students with extensive majors for undergraduates and multiple options for future success.
Chico State Builds New Bridge For Emergency Vehicle Transportation
The new bridge is placed on the east side of the campus located near the university building for physical sciences. The previous bridge was only used for pedestrian traffic. However, the new bridge implements a benefit for emergency vehicles to travel on for quick access to future emergency events. The emergency vehicle bridge was lowered by a crane over the Big Chico Creek.
Chico State Bridge Installation Benefits
The cost for the university for the bridge and the bridge installation came out to approximately two million dollars. However, the university believes that the bridge was worth the while because it provides quick access into the campus for emergency purposes. The bridge is expected to be open for emergency vehicle transportation and pedestrian traffic by October. At Chico State, there was only one entrance located for emergency vehicles to enter the campus and it was on the opposite side of the university property.
