Fire at a Citrus Heights Apartment
Four people were displaced after a fire erupted at an apartment complex in Citrus Heights.
What Happened?
On Sunday, February 21, 2016, at about 10:30 p.m. a fire happened along the 6000 block of Shadow Lane. Sacramento Metro Fire Department said a woman inside the complex reported flames coming from her patio. The woman stated that her boyfriend had been out on the patio smoking. She said she noticed smoke billowing out of the slats of the door to the water heater closet. She opened the water heater closet door and saw flames. She located a fire extinguisher and tried to put the flames out. The flames quickly moved into the apartment home.
Any Injuries or Property Damage?
Fire personnel took over fighting the fire. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Investigators determined $275,000 in property damage to four units.

The exact cause of the Citrus Heights apartment fire is under investigation.
