Injury Collision Near the I-80 Scales Involves Three Vehicles
A three-vehicle crash on I-80 in Citrus Heights on July 21 injured at least one person. According to the accident report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision occurred shortly before noon along westbound I-80 near the I-80 west scales. It involved a Nissan Altima, GMC Acadia and a Ford Fusion.
One Person Injured Following Three-Vehicle Crash
Medics with the Sacramento Fire Department were called to the scene when one of the individuals involved complained of back pain following the three-vehicle crash. One of the vehicles, the GMC, sustained both front-end and rear-end damage. All three of the vehicles had to be towed. The accident is under investigation by the CHP to find out why it occurred and to assign fault.
