Serious Trauma Occurs in San Juan Avenue Intersection Accident
An intersection accident in Citrus Heights on June 29 caused critical injuries to one person. The collision occurred at the Greenback Lane intersection with San Juan Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. involving two vehicles. The Citrus Heights Police Department said minor injuries were suffered by another man involved in the collision as well as severe trauma to the other driver.

San Juan Avenue northbound was shut down from Sylvan Road to Greenback Lane for an investigation into the collision to be conducted. It was reported around 11:00 p.m. Authorities said that speeding and DUI were not immediate signs pointing to the cause of the accident.
