Crash Fatally Injures Discovery Bay Woman
I’m Ed Smith, a Pittsburg Car Accident Attorney. A multi-vehicle accident occurred in Pittsburg on the morning of Wednesday, October 4, 2017. The accident, sadly, resulted in one fatality and several hospitalizations. The full story is reported below.

What Happened?
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to a call of a motor vehicle accident at approximately 8:00 am. The accident occurred along the westbound lanes of Highway 4 in the vicinity of the Harbor Street and Railroad Avenue off-ramps. When CHP officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a total of seven involved vehicles in this morning commute accident.
The multi-vehicle accident occurred shortly after an accident involving a Dodge sedan and motorcyclist in the same general area. Thankfully, both parties escaped injuries in the accident. However, traffic became increasingly worse on the already excessively congested commute route.
A silver Nissan Sentra was approaching stopped traffic ahead and came to a complete stop. However, a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV traveling behind the Nissan failed to slow down in time and rear-ended the Nissan. The Chevrolet then sideswiped a Dodge truck and struck an Audi Sedan. The Chevrolet came to a rest against a Honda Civic after colliding with two other vehicles.
Was Anybody Injured?
The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet were both transported via ground ambulance to local hospitals for major injuries. Thankfully, they are both expected to survive. A male passenger in the Nissan was hospitalized for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Nissan, unfortunately, passed away due to the severity of their injuries. The driver was later identified as 46-year-old Theresa Frazer from Discovery Bay.
Loved One Forever Remembered
Theresa Frazer is described by her loved ones as a wonderful woman who offered to help anyone whenever she could. She loved everyone and shared her heart to those who surrounded her. Her family and friends are truly devastated by her passing and will forever miss her for her warm-hearted, generous personality. She leaves behind a daughter, two sons and a young grandson due to this senseless tragedy. The family members of Theresa Frazer have set up a GoFundMe account to cover the expenses of her funeral.
